Feeling Sentimental (Quincy)

Video editing is not my strong point, but after going through hours of footage from Australia, I knew I had to do something to try to summarize our trip.

Nobody wants to sit through their friend’s raw, unedited vacation clips so here’s a montage of things that happened on our journey (shortened and set to a little tune that you might recognize from the movie, Little Miss Sunshine..you know..the one where they push start the van).

A little background info:

Travis and I took a “daily photo” every time we stopped after a long day of driving, or lazing around on the beach, or playing with koalas. The process of getting the camera to take the same exact photo in the same exact position in reference to Jumbuck was a science…ok, not really. We tied a string to the tripod that was about 10 feet long (this would measure the distance from just under the side window of the van to the tripod. Travis replicated the camera settings exactly day after day so the focal point would be consistent, and we used out remote trigger to take the shot. We became pros at setting up this shot for just under 90 days in a row. People would look stare and gawk, but we swallowed our pride and tried to get an original shot to represent each unique day.

Enjoy!

    • Hah, that must have been the problem! Glad you liked it, Q put a lot of work into it – both during the trip (pushing that car wasn’t easy), and after we got back (lots of hours editing).
