1,230 km on the clock (Travis)

So far we’ve made it 1,230 km… that’s about 765 miles. We spent last night in the small beach town of Hervey Bay (this is Australia, so that’s somehow pronounced “Harvey”). Awesome little town. We spent the night in a caravan park, which is like fake camping. Hot showers, running water, sinks, bbqs, electric stoves, refrigerators and freezers…

Anyway, to recap the last few days. We had our first decent beers since we got here at the Sunshine Brewing Company.

We found a rest stop with geese in a line in called it “ibis island”.

Quincy made a heart with a light.

Made brekky at the caravan park.

We went for a walk on the beach and found crabs making cool patterns.

Quincy exercised, I watched.

We went to the Bundaberg rum distillery, and instead of buying a tour, we bought a bottle.

Watched for emus on the road (didn’t see any.)

Having fun!

  1. Sounds like tons of fun! Love the pics!

  2. I wonder how hard it would be to get those geese to wear little bandanas and take pictures with you. They seem pretty friendly? But then you’d have to figure out which were girls so you could have them wear the pink bandanas and the boys wear the green bandanas … I’m getting tired just thinking about it.
